There has been a feud between Soko, Cote d’Ivoire and Sampa, Ghana since earlier this year when a Ghanaian taxi driver hit a young boy and ran from the scene. Since then the Ivorians don’t let the Ghanaian taxis cross the border and the Ghanaians do likewise to the Ivorian taxis.
Jerry Robertson dropped me off at the customs office today and I walked down the border crossing road into Sampa, Ghana to the bus station to catch a lorry to Wenchi. If I look angry in this self-portrait it’s only because the hot mid-day sun was in my eyes.
