While William has been gone, I have been dependent on phone messages that get passed on to me, letting me know that William is doing well. The first message I got was from the Ozments. Dr. Faile came up to me in the wards during rounds. He told me that William had left Tamale for the Ivory Coast….and in a short pause a million thoughts flooded my mind. "He's ok, right?" I asked. Yes, he was fine. I am sure that Dr. Faile would have found me sooner if there had been any problems. A couple days later, Mona brought me a phone message that 7 year-old Benton had written after talking to William. Once William returns, I'll have to post it. It was very sweet. I got word via email that William was traveling from Ivory Coast to Tamale today, and would be making it back to Nalerigu tomorrow.
I am very thankful that William has been able to travel and to document the work of the missionaries in West Africa, but I will also be very thankful when he is back home again.
