This is a photo I took last month but had forgotten about. I was at Lake Volta which is surrounded by rain forest covered mountains. A thunderstorm had just passed through and a mist was rising out of the trees.
Since it was still day light I used my ND filter, set the ISO at 100, and closed the aperture as much as possible at f/22. That allowed me to leave the shutter open for 6 seconds and capture the motion of the mist rising.
The mist reminds me of the smoke my brother-in-law Kenny has been using in some of his latest art experiments. He’s doing some amazing stuff and you should definitely check it out.
