I’m in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso this weekend and got to attend the “event of the year” at the International School of Ouagadougou (ISO). The annual holiday fair is a fund raiser by the PTA. Artists and vendors are invited to display their wares and ex-pats from all over Burkina come to buy things and have some fun.
The Van Dingenen family (who visited us in Nalerigu in October) was in charge of organizing the fair. Peter and one of the girls performed on piano and violin and Ineke was busy running things.
I saw several missionaries I hadn’t see in years and I won a gift certificate to a local French creperie (crepes are French pancakes – aka skinny, not fat). I also broke down and bought some African souvenirs to take back to the US.
