Carrying on their commitment to community service and health education, several BMC workers visited local high schools and junior high schools today. I went to Nalerigu Senior High School where Thomas (medical assistant) and Justice (anesthesiologist) were speaking on typhoid.
I was very impressed with how well the two guys communicated with the students. The questions during Q&A session afterward showed the students had really been paying attention.
Thomas was very polite and every time he said the word “feces” he prefaced it with “excuse my language.” He used the word a lot as he spoke of how typhoid bacteria are transferred. After his lecture, the school headmaster took the mic and loudly ordered the kids to “listen carefully, for I know that you all s*** all over!”
