Trey gave you a video tour of where he gets food for the rabbits. Now it’s my turn to give you a glimpse into where I get food for them.
In addition to feeding them plants that grow in our area we also feed them corn chaff. I head down to one of the local mills and buy the chaff off women who are grinding their corn. They are more than happy to sell it to me (at about 15cents a bowl) because it helps them to offset the cost of grinding their corn.
On my most recent trip, I bought three bowls from the lady below (first image on left). She tossed the corn in the air to separate the kernels from the chaff. Since they wet the corn before grinding, we had to spread it out to dry at our house before storing it (see Trey helping out in the last image on right).
