In anticipation of really busy Christmas Day, we once again had our “family time” on Christmas Eve. This year our family grew a lot! Not only was it KJ’s first Christmas, but our PeaceCorps friend Jesse joined us too!
Last year, we didn’t have too many presents to exchange and our house was pretty bare since our crates hadn’t arrived. This year we had Heidi’s parents bring stuff in October and several volunteers here over the holidays that also brought us goodies.
We also continued the tradition of singing Christmas carols on the hospital wards with the rest of the physicians and their families. Also, since it was a Thursday night, we had our usual “station meeting” dinner gathering and filled it with even more caroling! Trey didn’t hit the sack until after 11PM and was of course ready to jump out of bed the next morning to start playing with all the goodies he’d received the night before.
