Every rainy season we get a fair share of snake encounters and this year was no different.
The scariest was probably this night adder that snuck into the school house and was perfectly camouflaged on the old couch.
This next snake is one I’ve seen several times over the years but not been able to identify. The pointed tip on the tail is interesting. Any suggestions are welcome!
This green one was found near our house and was quite beautiful but I’m not sure what it is. Possibly some sort of adder. It was not aggressive and rather slow moving.
One day while hiking down below the Gambaga Escarpment, I met these farmers who were cooking up a Gabon Viper they killed in their fields. I really wish I’d had a chance to photograph it before it ended up in the pot!
