Heidi was honored this month with an invitation to present at NavicentHealth‘s Surgery & Trauma Departments’ Grand Rounds. She spoke on the topic of “Considering the Challenges to Surgical Practice in Northern Ghana” and focused primarily on “Typhoid and Other Surgical Emergencies.”

The presentation was well attended and after her 50 minute lecture physicians asked her follow-up questions. The local TV station FOX24 was there as well and interviewed her for their reporting.
It was also great to be reunited with attendings and colleagues from her surgery residency in Macon.
