I’ve written in the past about Northern Ghana’s Christian Chiefs Association (NGCCA) and the challenges these followers of Christ face. Not only do they have the daunting task of leadership but their role is infused with traditional customs and rituals that often times are at odds with what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. The NGCCA provides a space for these men to encourage each other and keep each other accountable to be good leaders and faithful witnesses for Christ.
The local Nalerigu Chapter of the NGCCA had its quarterly meeting and invited me to come and preach to them on the occasion. I read from Matthew 20:20–28 and spoke on the Christian ethic of servant leadership.
After the message, I distributed new print editions of the Mampruli New Testament to them (courtesy of GILLBT).
