After our pig roast the other day we had quite a few vultures and ravens show up to eat the innards that had been tossed out back. I sat outside for a while and snapped them flying and landing. These are some of my favorite bird forms from the shoot:
Happy New Years from the Rooftops of Accra!
Unlike last year, we woke Trey up and took him to the roof where we watched (a few) fireworks and lit sparklers with Peggy Ozment and Sylvia Huey.
Bye Bye BMC
It’s been almost 3 great months that we have spent in Nalerigu, Ghana at the Baptist Medical Centre. Last night and today we said our goodbyes and are now in Tamale waiting to catch our early morning flight to Accra. Last night we had a dinner party and the IMB missionaries gave us a nice […]
Christmas in Nalerigu (1 of 3)
Christmas day was a busy day for the Haun family. Early in the morning we went to the Faile’s house for a wonderful breakfast of cheese omelets, bacon, and muffins. A Catholic missionary couple from Nakpanduri and Pat and Peggy Ozment from Tamale joined us. Everyone brought their finest American foods. We had such gourmet and rare foods as a canned […]

An employee had apparently been given a chicken as a gift and had strapped it to the back of the bike. Not something you see every day in the halls […]
Photo of the Day
In the spirit of the holiday season, I thought a little drummer boy photo was quite appropriate.
Attiéké in Abidjan
At the end of October when I was in Abidjan I went out with some old friends and had some attiéké. Last week I spent most of my time at the media office in Abidjan working so I decided to grab some attiéké from a joint across the street every day for lunch. Attiéké is […]
