When we first started spreading the news about coming to Africa one of our friends left a comment on the blog asking me to “Please do your best to capture that night sky on film.” Well, Faith, I’ve been working on it. I was in a village the other night with no electricity and harmattan […]
Hanging with David, Tami, and Kerry
The past few days I’ve been down in south western Burkina Faso near the borders of Cote d’Ivoire and Mali. I’ve been traveling with career missionaries David and Tami Wood, journeyman (short-term missionary) Kerry Spencer, and Joyce Hall (a volunteer from Mississippi). Tomorrow we’ll be heading out early in the morning to some remote areas to meet up with a journeyman (short-term missionary) and a pastor. We hope to show […]
Photo of the Day
A while back I posted an abstract image of white corn drying in the sun. On a later date I photographed the woman spreading the corn out. She had a big metal bowl full of corn and walked back and forth tossing the bright, white powder around.
Christmas in Nalerigu
I found this small tree in the pantry of house #7. Mona and Jane have also shared some of their Christmas decorations with us. It’s beginning to feel a bit like Christmas here in Nalerigu.
